The Lyons Share

Don't panic! There's not going to be any pictures of me in shorts. During a bird survey at Butcherlands this morning, this White-legged Damselfly was just getting going and was obliging enough for a photo. Well, a photo shoot more like! I was pleased at how close I could get and the light was good too. Funny to see these drifting slowly across the fields (I tend to see them well away from water) they do indeed look like flying matchsticks!
