Red Kite and Firecrest

Saw a couple of Red Kites today including this one at Levin Down and then another one just west of Storrington. There was also a smart looking Firecrest in the scrub at Levin singing away, in exactly the same place I had one almost two and a half years ago. They seem to be quite loyal to their sites.

John Trueman, Editor Midhurst Pages Says:

Saw a Red Kite today 19th August 2011 at Cowdray Park entrance in Easebourne at GU29 OAJ
Flew into tall tree with dead branches at the top shared by crows and pigeons. Swooped down, displayed its forked tail, and flew off over the Cowdray Model Farm
