My first book is coming out soon, publication is currently set as 27th January 2026. Pan-species Listing is all about the gamification of British natural history. Rather than just list birds, we list EVERYTHING! Every bird, plant, spider, algae, sea slug, crustacean, mammal, beetle, reptile, sea anemone etc etc - a personal quest to see as much wildlife as you can in the British Isles over your whole lifetime.
It might seem frivolous but this approach pushes you into ever more strange new worlds of natural history, and in turn this leads to the creation of millions of records of under-recorded groups, as well as upskilling hundreds of new 'all-round naturalists'. It's particularly popular with Gen Z at the moment (starting early really does pay off) and also for neurodivergent people but anyone can get involved, young or old alike!
