I keep a reference collection too that is really helpful but it's lots of microscope work and mounting specimens, certainly for a beginner like myself. I use various texts depending on what family it's in. The main one being an ebook of N. Joys 'A Practical Handbook of British Beetles' which covers most things but is out of date for many families too. There are whole areas I don't really touch yet, such as rove beetles (>1000 species), weevils and leaf beetles so I have lots to learn!Graeme Lyonshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07105938845237816643noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5712676654133721000.post-44017870074540207852011-01-03T20:38:14.627+00:002011-01-03T20:38:14.627+00:00what do you use for keying out the beetles? and do...what do you use for keying out the beetles? and do you key out from your pics, in the field or from notes?martinfhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01227520265943485961noreply@blogger.com
